I wanted to reuse an old mesh material but it was very determined not to lie straight; I used a lot of glue and weights to flatten it as much as possible. But the resulting texture was beautiful to work with and as I worked away with my paint, an unintentional landscape was born, so I added wildlife with silver painted buttons. 

My husband and I often stay on the St. Lawrence river when we travel to Ontario, this landscape reminds me of the view across the river with distant mountains.
